GE Profile Oven Bake Won't Light
« on: January 29, 2014, 07:18:51 AM »
G.E. Profile Slide In Oven - Model # JGSP48B0H1BB Won't Light. Every other part of the stove works - Top Burners and Broil Element work fine. There is no gas coming out of the BAKE Burner Oriface. The Igniter glows but no ignition of the flame? There is 120 volts going to the igniter. Brand NEW IGNITER installed. Is this a bad valve or maybe a Control Board Issue???

What's your amp draw?  Maybe a bad new ignitor?

Are you referring to the Shut OFF Regulator Valve?

It's a service valve on the regulator, turns gas off to oven valve only.

I'm not at all doubting what you found, but how would that service shut off be turned off? Maybe an animal or customer? I mean, to the best of my knowledge there is no other way that that valve could be shut off...

Blaiser, what ended up being the problem?

Whirlpool oven "bake" setting doesn't light up.
