kenmore 90 series dryer wont start
« on: January 25, 2014, 12:18:47 PM »
hi all
so about a month ago my belt broke so i have already cleaned the overwheling amount of lint from the dryer. The new thing it is doing is ...well nothing  it wont turn on i have checked the thermal switch and thermostate switch and the door and the on off button. my thought is that the motor is junk. Does this sound right to all of you out there? Thank You

Post your model number.  Check for continuity between the black and blue wires at the timer.  On certain models, there is also neutral switching at the timer.

If it has the belt switch for the idler pulley it can be bad. Looks just like your door switch. It will not let it start.
