no heat whirlpool wed5100
« on: January 21, 2014, 06:06:44 PM »
Whirlpool electric dryer model WED5100VQ1 that will not heat in the timed dry cycle,no matter what time it is set on.However it did heat good in the automatic dry cycle but has now stopped heating all together.I have checked the heat element and the thermostats, all check out ok.Does this mean that the timer is bad?How can I check out to see what is the matter with this thing?

I have replaced 4 Whirlpool timers for the same issue . Check for continuity from black to red on the timer.

Yes, terminals A to C. Timer must be turned on of course.
