Maytag CRG9700CAM TIMER

(1/1)

toddrs93:
My timer has been slowly going dim on the display and  it finally got to the point where it wouldn't work at all to turn the oven on or anything.  I pulled it apart and found one of the caps to be blown.  I had an electronics repair shop replace the caps and clean up some light damage.  The timer then worked for a day and went blank again.  This time we pulled it back off and replaced a zener diode which appeared to have possible damage as well.  It did not fix the problem.

The shop is confident they can fix it if we could find a schematic for the timer.  Does anyone know where I can find one?

Also I have looked everywhere for a replacement timer and I can not come up with anything. appliancetimers.com does not have them and will not service them anymore.

If there are any control board schematics out there, they are a very well kept secret.  I don't see your part number, 74001283, on fixyourboard.com or Corecentricsolutions.com repair lists. There's one on ebay right now for about $65 shipped.
