Whirlpool Refrigerator
« on: December 23, 2013, 03:15:03 PM »
I really need some help with this. I have a whirlpool refrigerator M# WRT571SMTWOO. Someone has removed the thermistor from the freezer and I can't find a replacement. My parts distributors can't find one on the parts diagram. Also It does not have a traditional Bi-metal/ Termination Thermostat. They seem to be In-line. Is this new? Also I could use a service manual for this.

Why did they remove it and why did you think it was a thermistor?

It does not show up on any parts breakdown but Marcone has a note that i last posted when you look up the defrost heater that note is about the bi metal there i posted with that part #.basic refrigerator and know need for a thermistor.

There is a thermistor on the schematic. One for the refrigerator compartment and one for the freezer. And there is a connector for it. There is not a tradition bi-metal.

If i look up control board in refrigerator at marcone it comes up with the board part number and a note about this part number thermistor and i guess its the thermistor in refrigerator section. This is a weird unit thats all i can tell you as if you don't already know. This is the Part number.http://www.appliancepartspros.com/kitchenaid-thermistor-w10384183-ap5306065.html
Maybe call whirlpool for this one.Good luck.Let me know what happens very interesting.
