Maytag (Whirlpool) Front Load No Fill
« on: December 14, 2013, 10:17:24 AM »
Customer replaced the flow meter. The washer will not fill. No power to solenoids. In diagnostic mode, will fill intermittently, but the drain pump runs a lot as if the control thinks the tub is full. I suspect the analog pressure switch. Expensive little part. Anyone else have this issue?

If they are getting a F35 or Suds error, it's most likely the pressure sensor. If replacing the sensor does not fix the problem, the main control board is faulty. Did you let the pump run during the diagnostic cycle until it faulted out?  Did it just keep running for more than 10 minutes?

Not sure about suds error. I did notice they used HE soap.
I started the diagnostic and it went to the 2nd or 3rd step which is when water is supposed to come in. That is where after a few minutes,  the pump came back on. It would not progress through the diagnostic cycle.

If you did not get an F35 error. I would remove the back panel and check the air trap and pressure hose. If the drain pump is kicking on the main board is detecting water in the unit. Could be a bad pressure sensor, but I would check the air trap and hose first. It could be full of gunk, and would cause the same problem.
