I haven't used them for awhile, but I had a set of Saitek controls (flight yoke, floor pedals) and used to spend way too many hours with Microsoft flight simulator, Several fighter games. Beware AJ - it is very, very easy to get hooked on these simulators. I used to play several of them in virtual worlds on the computer. Very addictive.
I actually had a student pilots license when I was younger. My brother in law had a cessna cardinal I used to fly. Went to avaition class, was a lot of fun. A friend of his had a twin - engine beechcraft I also got to fly. We would fly to Atlantic city, Florida, Memphis. Great fun. Back then, you would navigate between vortac stations. Never got my full pilots licsense, always had to fly with a licsensed pilot present. But it was alot of fun. Flight simulators alot cheaper than the real thing, but they are very realistic now.
We have a little airport right by my house, have often thought about getting a plane. But, then when I consider that I have no time to fly, It would probably be a waste of money. Right now. But, maybe when I retire............ One thing I won't be doing anymore is skydiving. Did it in my 20's but have no desire to ever do that again. I t was one of the scariest moments of my life jumping out of that plane. But it was a rush.
