UPDATE-had a service man come out, nobody seems to post the final fix on this issue so here is how mine was fixed. It was not the water temp sensor, all it was was a wire that had broken under a zip tie, the service guy fixed it in 10 min. I thought I tested that wire but he just pulled it apart with his fingers.

Letting the internet know That I had the same issue,  my Whirlpool duet would occasional stop before rinsing, and later it simply wouldn't always start. it would give three beeps.  when I did the diagnostics I got the 3 2 code -- I opened up the back of the washer and found exactly like you describe, one of the black wires for the temp sensor was shorted right at the safety tie to the left of where it connects to the tub.  So I fixed the wire and secured the bundle to hopefully have a little better give due to the tubs vibrations. I couldn't have done it without this forum. :thanks:

Yep had the same error codes. Checked this subject and found the wire was broken. It's hard to visually see because the black wire coating is still intact. But the stranded wire inside was separated. I located it down Lower in the machine, it was the 3rd wire tie from the sensor.  It's an issue in manufacturing and it should be under warranty. But thanks to this site I saved a few hundred bucks. I mean who the hell is tightening these wire ties.
