AUTO DRY NOT WORKING

(1/4) > >>

boilerroom:
Replaced cycling thermostat, and dryness control board, cleaned sensor bars to death, still not working on auto dry, but works on Timed mode. Thanks. GE Dryer Model  PRSR495EH3WW.

go400:
One of your heaters is blown open, just check.

boilerroom:
I will tear it apart next chance it is free. I see a pretty good glow in there, but I will check em anyway. Odd looking heaters, not the coils spring type. How many are in there? I am guessing two? Thanks.

go400:
There are always two, very common for one to blow and the timer motor will not get power thru the power resistor.

boilerroom:
I understand my unit does not have the power resistor, and it is all done through the dryness board. I am anxious to check out the heater elements now though go400. Thank you very much for your reply.
