I have a GE JCSP42SRSS electric range. Today I went to turn on the stove and I think I heard a small pop sound, and the burner just stopped working. Normally, it would glow bright red really quick once I turn the knob to max heat. But now, even if it was turned it on to max heat, it wouldn't heat up. The other 3 burners are working fine. The oven works too. But it's just that one burner that's not working. There's a "Burner hot" light indicating which burner is hot. When I turn on the problem burner, the "Burner hot" light is lit, but it's just not heating up. It's not hot, but the light is on. So what could be wrong?
It has a ceramic glass cooktop, so I'm not sure how to fix it since I have no experience fixing those kinds of ranges. Please help! Thanks!
I want to see if there's any DIY option before turning to the manufacturer for warranty repair since I don't have the receipt (the stove came with the house so I think the developer has it)
