Whirlpool Dish washer (Getting to chopper assemply)

   Would anyone know how to remove the cover on the Whirlpool tall tub dishwasher to get to the chopper assembly?

I have removed everything needed to get to it however the darn thing won't come off.  Secret magic call sign or some thing?  No obvious depression pins of tabs that I can see and the below link while showing the removal must have a missing and important step in there some where.  i.e it aint just lifting off any time soon

Penguin, it appears AJ removed this video. I went thru the same issue on my site after this happened. Had to delete a lot of good links.

Thanks for the link and went through the manual looking for the magic key, no luck.  Models don't match.  At one point in searching for the answer I came accross a manual that had close model number and it looked right however the magic key was not listed any where I could find.  Does anyone know if the piece just lifts off and it's stuck on mine?  I could always use the hammer answer but I didn't want to break it or the lower housing causing more issues/problems.
  Just trying to solve the no water making it to upper arm issue.  Already cleaned out arms and other lead tubes.  Even cleaned the part of the chopper screen I could get to with small brush.  No luck for the water fix.  Perhaps it's a diifernt issue anyhow and I don't need to remove it?

Really, if you want help, the best way to approach us is to present your complaint with the dishwasher along with a detailed explanation of what it is doing. We're not getting anywhere if you start out asking how to tear something up without a reason

OUTSTANDING.  That Tech sheet is the answer...I hope.  instructions for the lift off of the piece in the opposite direction as was depicted in pictures.  Might be stuck but at least I know the How now and can proceed.  Also gave some other data in terms of the issue of upper washer arm not moving or getting water which is the issue I was attempting to solve before getting stuck with the chopper assembly cover issue.  THANKS!  I will try and see if I get to the chopper now and hope to fix it tomorrow.

OK that was it!  The cover to the chopper assembly was stuck due the plastic drive sprocket being broken and the screen actually dug into the cover a bit.   Will order new chopper assembly.  Tried the dishwater out with just the screen in place and cover back on (that was fun aligning it up) and everything is working now.  Top arm moving fine again.  By the way, the screen was clogged but more than likely a factor of the chopper itself just laying there and not doing it's job so the screen clogged.   Well on the way to success now.
