I'm so thrilled I was able to replace the main power board in my LG washer with input from this group, and it works! But I can't for the life of me get the plastic vented lid from the original power board on the replacement power board's "box". I'm tempted to just leave it off. Is this dangerous or otherwise a bad idea? Thanks, Kathy

Kathy,

Bad idea. I just replaced mine and had same problem. You need to push hard on the plastic from inside the cabinet and make sure the tabs align correctly. I had to use a very small (tiny) screwdriver on the outside tabs and preyed the plastic tabs out gently, (be careful you don't break the tabs) you might want to get someone to help you push on the plastic tabs as they slide in place. Don' t forget to put the screw in place to lock the board box in place. Let me know how you made out.
