The machine has been bulletproof since 1999 aside from all the usual wear and tear. Just a few days ago it stopped initiating a wash sequence when the door is closed. The problem is intermittent and is not time dependent. I thought it might be a weak or cracked door magnet and/or reed switch malfunction. I slipped a rare earth magnet into the door assembly for a test. With or without the magnet, I'm getting a door closed light indication on the control board whether it starts or not and all other lights indicate normal operation. This machine was converted to low temp a couple of years ago and has run without problemssince then. I tried powering down from the breaker to "reboot" the control board and it made no difference. After malfunctioning for a day and 1/2, it now seems to be working normally. Any Ideas? Is the control board starting to flake out?
