99% of the time I find when the thermal is blown its cause is the venting,or the element is shorted to ground. After I change the thermal I will always try the dryer on AIRDRY setting.if it heats the relay is stuck on the board or in this case the separate relay.

That is what made the diagnoses so difficult.   When fuses were replaced relay showed no indication of sticking.  Dryer cycled correct temperature range every setting including air dry with no heat.   The relay must of stuck periodically (when I was not present.
