GE dryer model PBVH520EJ0WW shuts down
« on: October 16, 2013, 09:40:23 AM »
Have an issue with this dryer. Shuts down on its own after 10 min or so and customer says it restarts on its own. I havent seen the restarting happen but it does shut down. The thing has an outlet backup thermostat and outlet thermistor, inlet thermister, thermostat and safety thermostat. All venting is clean with good airflow. Can anyone help with this????

I would check for a loose wire or contact...as well as a bad contact on the door switch itself.

May be bad contacts on the timer as well but would look for loose wire first.

I would check for a loose drum or drive belt. Can cause the belt switch to activate.

Worked on one of these BAD BAD Boys, it had same problem. Turned out to be the motor built in circuit board as a $200. plus clip for a new motor from GE.
