Taking apart trim without damaging ( kitchenaid kfis25xvmso
« on: October 04, 2013, 08:28:12 AM »
I am working on this  kitchenaid  refrigerator and everything is working ( cooling properly ) cond fan,
evap fan and compressor all working.  The display is  very dimly lit  and my customer  wants this replaced.
I have  the part , but haven't found a service manual that will show me how to take the trim off without breaking  the trim or  scratching anything.   Model #  kfis25xvmso

Does anyone know how to get the service manual  or  take this one off?  Thanks  Tony  in Denver

Hey Itsastarr,
I found this diagram (Note: the model number varies just slightly)

But, to me - it looks like you'd need to gain access to the 2 bolts (#6) and once removed it looks like the bezel would slide upwards. Looking at the hole configuration on the fridge door itself - It looks like there should be 13 tabs on the bezel (#8) that hook downwards in to the door holes. (#1)

Tony, please don't double or in your case triple post the same question over and over in different boards.

Thanks,
