draining Maytag MAH5500BWW front loader
« on: September 28, 2013, 05:56:01 PM »
I live back in the woods and am subject to the house freezing when I go away, so I need to drain the washer in the winter.  When I flat line drain it I can still hear water sloshing when i turn the drum. Can someone explain the inner workings.  I do plumbing professionally and have been repairing and altering things for 45 yrs., so can do fairly serious alterations to achieve this purpose

There is water in the ballast ring on the inner tub. It can't be removed.
