My Maytag Performa, PTB1953GRW, Revision 18 stopped cooling efficiently. The refrigerator compartment gets slightly cooler than room temperature and the freezer compartment is reaching refrigerator temperatures. A couple weeks ago my wife noticed that the freezer was blowing hot air and smelled like something was burning and unplugged the whole thing.
I trouble shot it and found out that the compressor relay had gone out. I cleaned out the entire fridge components, replaced the relay, replaced a bad door seal, tested the capacitor with a multimeter and got good results, tested the compressor for shorts and didn't have any, tested the compressors windings and the math of two lower winding resistance should approximate the high winding resistance (however my numbers were much lower than those shown on the youtube video I watched).
After plugging it back in and running for 24+ hours my compressor is running constantly and the freezer is again only getting refrigerator cold. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your help!
