You changed the Gas valve or did you change the burner ignitor?

Are you getting a spark out of the ignitor? is the spark direction up or side way?

does the Burner cover lay flat in the burner? can you blow on the burner after you turn it on ?

Can you light the burner with a match or lighter ? A lot of question hope I can help?

LMK

Ok I replaced the gas valve and the igniter sits and fires on the side I haven't tried lighting it with a match when I did get it to light it was a 7 inch flame and couldn't blow it out ..no it's EW

When you lift the burner cap off, looking down inside the burner is there a brass nut with a very small hole in it? Sounds like the orifice is missing.

service manual for EW30DS65GS7
http://www.emaservicetips.com/pdfs/191_Freestanding_Dual_Fuel_Range_-_5995523320.pdf

Wondering why you would change out the valve if you smelled and heard gas coming out of burner?

blowing on the burner that will not light and it lights indicates that.

1) air/gas mixture is incorrect. (too much gas) missing or over size orifice.
2) spark and gas mixture are not combining (ignitor spark not in the correct direction or weak.

7" flame indicates incorrect fitting burner cap or missing or over sized orifice

Wow this is kicking my butt so gonna ask for some help went back out with some orifices and nothing wont lite even blew on it and nothing so I turned on the front burner and it lit? Not a good flame but the only way this burner lites is by turning on the front burner same side??sooon that would mean the igniter is going bad or the spark module is I looked for a crossed or grounded out wire and there all good anyone have a thought ? Oh and it will only lite without an orifice in it I have tried 13 of them and don't word

Ya this unit works in every sense except that rear burner you have to turn the front burner on to lite the rear that means its a valve problem but already changed that and you hear gas smell gas but no lite I have been on GEs that a wire is crossed or grounding out and fix that and it works but this beast don't have that problem so I'm just stumped I figure the igniter is wearing out and it needs the more spark so that's why the front has to come into play ???

EW30DS65GS7
Is a Duel Fuel range Electric oven has nothing to do with the gas top,

316540800 Ignitor/orifice assy.,top burner ,5K ,w/holder

5k 316527504 orifice if you just need to replace.

Without an orifice you air/gas mixture will be too rich. You have a good spark that Jump straight up.
