Maytag Washer Leaking

Model #LAT9806AAM, this unit started leaking each time the customer would do a load, and after removing the front panel, the source of the water was quite noticeable. Just above the gearbox is where the drive shaft goes through the water seal and enters the tub. Once this seal starts to fail, it will only get worse until it is replaced. So I installed a new stem seal kit and now this washer keeps all the water inside the tub.
