Kitchenaid kudr24sewh1 leaks from door
« on: August 31, 2013, 09:07:21 AM »
The leak is water splashing over the pan in the center of the door.  I have replaced the upper manifold assembly and the strip at the bottom of the inside of the door.  The spray arms are not clogged and rotate freely. The screen on the door is not clogged.  I have run out of ideas?  Help!

Is the dishwasher level? Is the inner door panel bent? I usually raise the front of the dishwasher or lower the back to keep water from splashing over.

It has been in place for 10 years with no adjustment to the levelers.  Not sure how to determine if the inner panel is bent.  It looks ok to the naked eye.  How would I determine if it is bent and is their a way to straiten?

Tighten the pump cover screws. If your spray arm bearing, 9742946, hasn't been replaced, it's probably due.

Carefully, Check the spray arms a small split could be shooting water at the door..also I have seen the middle spray arm tube shoot water right at the door..

Check the Basics first!!! Read the Manual !!!Buy the tech a Beer!!!

Replacing the middle spray arm kit was the first thing I did however in the original post I called it the upper manifold assembly. I tried adjusting the levelers but there is not very much room to work with so I am thinking that the inner door panel is bent.  I appreciate all of the suggestions. Thank you.

tgoods thanks for the tip.  It was the pump cover screws being loose that was the problem causing water to spray toward the front of the dishwasher and overlapping the tub.
:thanks:   I was very close to buying a new one.
