I was installing a gas valve on an LG dryer today with controls on backsplash. When I was done and put it back together, it was making a wierd clicking noise. Couldn't figure it out right away. Took it apart twice. Then, I figured it out. When I went to install vent (machine was on a 1 foot high stand), I got on top of machine. Well, the machine is made of too thin of metal and what happened is the front bulkhead spread out a little and rollers were causing a clicking sound because they weren't running true in the drum grooves. I took bulkhead off, bent it in a little, and problem was solved. First dryer I ever had this problem on.
