LG Dishwasher LDS 5811BB
« on: July 30, 2013, 11:25:42 AM »
Our LG Dishwasher (7 years old, never any problems) would not start - no power, everything blank. Found blown fuse on circuit board. Replaced fuse and it starts normally, pumps out water, takes in new water, runs quietly for about ten minutes, and stop again with same blown fuse. It had not reached the point where it dumps in the detergent. My question:  Would replacing the circuit board (trouble on the board itself?) cure the problem, or could the problem be elsewhere and blow the fuse on the new board? Appreciate any help or input. Thanks

Check for broken wires inside the door panel.  One of them may be shorting the board.
