E.P.A. is where I got mine, sorry so long ago forgot how I got involved. I think because I was doing Maytag Factory work they contacted me.

Had mine for years( since they required them) never had to renew. Or they missed me.

No need to renew. Once you're certified, you're good for life.

I got mine online years ago. They send you an open book test, you send it back they give you a card. The test is not about repairing air conditioning, it is more about environmental impact of freon gases and how to keep them contained.

I remember the teacher said one of the questions was "what is the chemical equation of R12?" We were terrified! And it was a joke.
