ge dish washer

anybody ever hear of this ge dishwasher plan jane that wont fill or drain if no heated dry button pushed but will fill and drain on heated dry
there is no power to valve or drain solenoid till you push button never ran into this and I don't think its normal but is it switch or timer or?

Look at the backside of the switch, not the timer. You may find burned terminals. I've replaced switches on these models for this problem. There was a recall on this at one time because some of them caught on fire.

thank you I was thinking switch but wasn't sure.  what a weird design
