Whirlpool Washer jumps and Bangs
« on: July 26, 2013, 07:40:34 AM »
Working on a Whirlpool Washer model# WTW6600SW1 and when it spins it starts getting wobbly and starts to bang into the sides of the case... Checked the nut underneath and its tight.. replaced the 4 plastic shock hangers that came with some plastic inserts to put on the frame first and it still bangs around... The shocks do not appear to have a bend in them but could they still be bad or is there something else that needs to be checked? This is driving me crazy! PLEASE any HELP will be APPRECIATED!!!!

Does it happen during the wash and rinse cycles maybe, not the spin, it just looks like its spinning, but in reality it should be the wash plat spinning.  Make sure that all of the valves are good and that the tub float up freely for the wash cycles.

Yes it bangs when its empty and there are no error codes it just bangs around then stops and all the lights start flashing.Spannerwrench it does it when it goes into spin and I can put it on Drain and Spin and it will also do it..

items between tubs can cause it too or being unlevel.
