I have a Dacor ESG366, and the igniter keeps sparking for a couple of minutes after the flame is lit. I've cleaned the 'spark plugs', which seemed to make the problem a little better but not go away.

It's been very humid here this year, if that makes any difference.

What's next? Better cleaning? (and with what?) Replace the igniters? Or the spark module?

Thanks,
Heath

I would inspect the high voltage wiring from the re igniter module to the ignitors. Make sure they're not saturated in oil or crimped between two pieces of metal. If the wiring checks out, verify polarity to the igniter module. If you have 120v from L1 to ground, and the high voltage writing checks ok, you have a bad igniter module.

Okay, I'll check the wires. What's the easiest way to expose that part of the cooktop? I don't see disassembly instructions in the AJ repository, but maybe I just missed them.

Also, I don't see a spark wire harness in the ESG366 parts list. The diagram makes it look like the module and wires come together, but the part photo doesn't look that way: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/dacor-spark-module-86528-ap3160674.html

I found this harness:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/dacor-harness-6-pc-62818-ap3393933.html
but it seems to be for a model ERD48.

Thanks,
Heath

Dacor has a kit for this problem that has a shorter ignitors.  Part number is 66286. If your serial number is MF0000000 or higher, you do not need the kit.  The part is kind of expensive.  You might want to try calling Dacor to try and get a concession. You need to remove the burners to remove the top.  You need a tool, 86007C, to remove the brass rings.
