kitchenaid KGST307HBL6 temp sensor
« on: December 30, 2013, 09:46:31 PM »
The temp sensor has a 700ohm resistance. The oven intermittently gives  F2-E3 F2-E1 could this be the cause

Thanks

The oven sensor should read about 1100Ω at room temperature.  If your oven sensor was that far off, your oven would be way over temperature.  So, I think your meter is inaccurate.  F2 codes are touch panel errors. Either a spill on the glass, bad touch panel or bad display board.

The oven never goes on  before you would kill power and it would reboot. now it reboots goes through the steps start a function like bake and then it kills and the code
come up. as I said I have had 3 touch pads replaced 1 came and did not work at all like it is now and one came that has performed with intermittent shut down and code for 1 year. the control board component showed in previous post are red hot.

no spills when you say displat board do you mean the entire control board it is one piece.

my meter is calibrated and checked via a resistor test.

Thanks for you feedback

I had a similar issue with one of these ovens and it turned out to be a faulty door latch. I replaced 2 latches in 2 years. I know that doesn't sound right but that was the problem.
