Ice Maker Problem
« on: July 08, 2013, 07:27:27 PM »
Working on a Amana SxS Refrigerator Model # ARS2364AW and I had to replace the old "Y" tubing and watervalve with the new one. Now It will NOT make ice... I am guessing that the Ice Maker must be bad??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance..

If you add water manually will it make a batch?

JW -- No, it did not work so I replaced the ice maker and I still DO NOT get ice... I am wondering if the new water valve may have to be installed differently? I was told that the "Y" tubing water valve was replaced with this one.. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE A GREAT HELP........

Put power directly to watervalve leading to icemaker....if water goes to icemaker you need to check for power at icemaker harness, if not you have a bad watervalve.  If you used old harness wires from old icemaker ohm out the heat cutoff (if that's what it's called)....I've seen them burned out before.
