Hot on the west coast, dress code?
« on: July 01, 2013, 09:51:00 AM »
Been in the 100's for the last three days. And it looks like it will be that way until next weekend.

I'm stuck wearing a button up shirt made of some synthetic fibers that doesn't breathe and long pants. I get to the point where I can't stop sweating. Anyone else have a dress code?

What would they do if you showed up in shorts?  It's been in the upper 80's and humid here.  I thought about wearing shorts but I'm not sure anybody wants to see my pasty legs.

I wear shorts all the time for work, Started back in the day when I was working for the man.
Pointed out how the mailman, UPS, FedEx and everyone else i could think of at the time that worked with the public was wearing shorts and the boss said fine, wear shorts if you want. :D

On my knees too much and don't want what is on the floor directly on me, so no shorts. Besides I don't have the legs for them I am told.

107 last Saturday, then we had a cool front Sunday high of 87.  Back almost to 100 today with high humidity.

A long tie and a loin cloth for me. Lonesome housewives love it. :D

I don't know what your unit's/district's dress code is, but here in Wisconsin, my TM says it's okay to wear blue shorts when it's hot. We also have company issued polo shirts that are quite comfortable.
