Storm damage, sewer back up...
« on: June 22, 2013, 07:24:45 AM »
Cleaning up from storm damage this morning, got at least a foot and half of sewer back up in my basement. Lost power for about 12 hours. Lost a lot inventory I had on the floor and bottom shelves. What a mess...

Wow...sorry to hear about the damage. We're too close to the coast to even have a basement...But I've been in similar situations. Hope your loss isn't unbearably large.

My wife's parents had that problem a couple of times. They had a check valve installed on the sewer line.

Flash flood, lift station could not run with power off so it backed up into my basement. Waiting to here from insurance man as I clean up.

Don't know yet, but I doubt I will come out ahead on anything. Already lost one days work and the lost inventory is not going to help me catch up. The way it's been I have been so busy that I have been behind on calls anyway, things are just so much worse now.

Really sorry to hear about that, AJ.    Hope it all comes out OK>   Hopefully insurance will cover losses.   Hope you didn't loose too much inventory.
