Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3 Error Code EbE
« on: June 24, 2013, 10:08:40 AM »
Hi all, first post here, so please be patient. :)

So, my washer started just blinking the start light at me... I followed these instructions, and figured out that the error code was EbE...  http://www.appliancepartsquick.com/FrigidaireWasherFaultCodes.html The author of this page says that this means I need to "replace the control board."  My question is, which control board: the motor control, or the main control?

Also, I am planning on attempting this repair myself.  I am a fairly mechanical person, and I figure if I can't figure it out, then I'll call in a technician.  Are there any tools I should have at my disposal before starting?  (Mainly electrical tools, as I have most other tools.)  For instance, will I need a volt meter?  (I know, they're good to have around anyway.)  Thanks.

Tony

I believe this is a console control error. Verify all connections are good and tight. And that the tub hasn't contacted any wires causing any damage to them.  I would buy the control from repair clinic or appliance parts pros. That way if it doesn't fix the problem, you can return the part and get your money back.

Thanks for the reply!

How about tools that I may need?  And do you know of a site (YouTube video, whatever) that might serve as a walk-through for the process of repairing it?  Thanks again.

Thanks again.... Part ordered, looks pretty straight forward... I hope that's the issue.  Dirty laundry is piling up.  :)

 :thanks:
