Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC/16
« on: June 12, 2013, 12:21:55 PM »
I have one of those smaller Bosch Axxis front load washers that has a bad tub bearing.  Had anyone done one of these before? I'm ordering the bearing set 619808, drum 680840, seal 640433 and rear tub 249533. If I have to drive/press these bearings, what's the best tool to use?

Thanks

Nobody has had to deal with one of these things? Can anyone get the service manual? I found a link on another forum, but there's too many $ears people on it and I'm pretty much loyal to this forum.

I know the larger Nexxt washers do. But I wasn't sure. Our TA office says they come separate. We'll see on the 26th when I go back. I asked for three hours and an assist. Should be fun.  If we take the washer outside, I'll snap some pics.

You should be able to install the new bearings into the old tub.  I've never done a Bosch bearing job.  On the bearing jobs I've done, I pound out the old bearings and use them to tap in the new bearings.  Put the new bearings in the freezer.  Tap them in evenly as far as you can with a hammer.  Use the old bearing and tap them in the rest of the way. Only tap on the outer race of the bearing.

I was thinking of using the Cabrio bearing tool to press them in. Otherwise I'll have to do the hammer trick.
