So on this maytag performa MOD:PAVT234AWW, I showed up because the customer said it wasn't doing anything and he smelled burning rubber. So I bent it over and saw that the belt was melted and fused to the pulley on the motor. I turned the thrust bearing and it spun counter clockwise and agitated in the other direction. The pump didn't have anything in it and turned freely by hand. Ilugged it in and the motor didnt do anything just a humming but it wasn't coming from the motor. So I'm gonna change the motor and put anew belt on it. I think the belt got loose and the spin cycle cause the friction to heat up and melt the belt. And when the machine started again, it was fused and couldn't turn.
