Samsung Mod. wf206bnw Pump
« on: June 09, 2013, 08:04:01 PM »
Hi and thanks for this forum. Have a wf206bnw samsung and the drain pump will not power up. Have replaced old pump with a new one thinking it was the pump itself, but it wasn't the sole problem even though the old one was making some unfamiliar noises. I can connect AC power to the pump connectors and it will pump the water out, but it's not getting power to the pump connector from the control panel. What tells and sends power to the drain pump? Have checked all connection and wiring and have found no bad connections.
Thanks

The control board seems power to the pump. Check for continuity between the connection at the control board to the connections at the pump. They should be less than one ohm.

With the washer power on and on spin only, there is voltage on the blue wire at the pump. The is no continuity of the black wire to ground at the pump. On the main board CN10 the black has continuity to grd. Some where I'm losing a grd. connection to the pump. All the wire in between are taped up neatly and not near any cut points. Everything that I can see looks good. Hair being pulled, with little to spare......

Correction, black wire at CN10 does not have continuity to grd. Blue wire at cn5 has voltage to grd. but not to the black.

We I've went and purchased a new board and installed it. Turned it on and the pump takes right off pumping but now the blame thing want cycle through the wash cycle. Gets to spin and the daaagong nd pops up. Turn it to spin only and restart and the pump starts right up and empties and the pump stops. It sits a spell and the pump starts up again and stops. It just keeps doing this and don't start spinning. Wonder if I ain't got a bad board......everything is connected good.
