LG Manual or help
« on: June 06, 2013, 02:40:06 PM »
Just was on an LG Bottom freezer Model: LBN22515ST  Serial:603MRCJ01675
Found control locked at blank on fridge lights and 6 and 7 lit up on freezer side.  No tech sheet on unit.  I have a manual that is close to this one but not exact and it didn't give my an error code explanation for this.  A lot of frost built up on freezer back wall.
I put it into test mode #1; compressor kicked on no evap. fan; test mode #2 (didn't check defrost system at that point); then reset.  Unplugged while I pulled control board cover off.
From board side checked sensor's and they checked good resistance for 0 degrees celcius which it was in freezer.  Heater checked out.
Plugged back in no error code came up and ran fine.  Ran test #1  all worked well including evap. fan.  Ran test #2 had 115V through heater circuit.  It appears to be running well now except for the build of frost that homeowner decided he would melt.
Any thoughts.  Bad main board that will go again with time?  Fluke and reset healed it?  Anyone have a manual or tech sheet for this one.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.   :thanks:

Forgot to say first time I ran test #2 compressor did not kick off and go into defrost.  It did after I reset controls.

Update: Customer called and said it's working great!

I'm thinking (may be very wrong) that the freezer was left open forming the frost and the mother board read it as a defrost that took to long (when defrosting) and started locked out.  Either that or the main board is going wonky and I'll get a call back but for now all good. :D
