Whirlpool fridge
« on: May 16, 2013, 09:37:56 PM »
I have a whirlpool fridge model number g56shaxmb00. I have changed the thermistor and I have continuity through heaters. Is there a defrost timer or does it go through a board. It still gets warm every few weeks and then I unplug it for a day and its good again. Thanks in advance

The correct model # is gs6shaxmboo and it has a board in the back of refrigerator. You have to take back panel off part # W10135090.Is the freezer frosting up?If it is,you may have a bad termination thermostat that is in series with the defrost heater.

I believe I changed that thermistor. Is it the small round part with two wires on the coil or is there another one

It is also taking less time to loose the cool. Was about three weeks now down to one. Do u think I should just change the board?
