I saw this posted before and cant remember what the solution was. My cousin contacted me tonight and said her washer or dryer was leaving oil grease stains on her clothes. Model on washer is ITW4300SQ0 and for the dryer is MW1820466. This is what she said.."We noticed our clothes are getting random clear looking oil stains all over them after being washed and dried... I'm not sure which machine it is coming from- any ideas? We are renting the place we are living in, and I'm not sure if I need the landlord to fix something. Thanks for your help!

You would think at some point they could figure out for themselves if it's the washer or dryer that is causing the problem.

All they have to do is inspect the clothes for these stains before they put then in the dryer to figure out if the problem is with the washer or dryer.

Could it be liquid fabric softener from the washer causing the stains?

I was told a hundred years ago to try vinegar on the stain. If it dissolves then it is softner.

It does not look like that model has a dispenser on the agitator.

Could it have been added or they could be using that ball thing people can add to the washer with the liquid softener in it?
