Hotpoint Refrigerator
« on: May 21, 2013, 10:10:00 AM »
I am working on a Hotpoint Refrige model # HSM25GSTCSA, I replace the control board because of no defrost (all other parts checked ok). There was no problem for a few days but now the refrigerator side is not cold enough the unit is not iced up and the freezer side is nice and cold, the evap fan is working fine and is blowing cold air on the ice maker it just does not seem to get into the refrigerator. I noticed on this model there is no duct to funnel cold air into the refrigerator at the top of the freezer. Any ideas???    Eric,  Cross Roads Appliance

This is a encoder model. Is it possible its one that you have to make sure it does not match the serial number on the board instruction sheet. Also make sure fresh food light is going off.I had one i thought the light was going off buy was not.Found out the next day by touching upper bins in fresh food it was not.And it was the first thing i check for.It was just missing the switch.
