Samsung RS261mdbp Warm fridge
« on: May 14, 2013, 05:40:24 PM »
Went out on a call for a Samsung RS261mdbp sxs fridge getting warm. Upon inspection, I notice ice on the back wall of the freezer, and neither the evaporator fan or the condenser fan was running. I could not access the diagnostic. so I unplugged the fridge and let it reset itself. When it came back on, diagnostic showed a fault in the condenser circuit. I check the defrost system on the circuit board and it check out okay. I check the evap/condenser fan circuit and the volt were around 2.56 volts.

I check the resistance in the condenser fan and it check out okay. Due to time restraints I didn't check the evaporator fan.

I believe I have a bad circuit board because both fans run  off connector #75.

I preform this job using the Samsung fast trac rs261.

Since there is no local Samsung part source. I just wanted to be sure before I order a new board.

Thanks
