Need Service Manual for Samsung DV306LEW/XAA - No Power

(1/1)

rockinrobin:
I have a Samsung Dryer that won't Power On (no lights on display - totally dead).
I have AC Voltage on the Electric Cord connected to the back of the dryer.
Before it quit working, it took about 2 hours to dry the laundry.
If you do/don't have the Manual, I would also appreciate your input to help with troubleshooting the issue.
 :thanks:

Here you go...

SAM0109 Samsung Dryer Service Manual

I would suspect a bad high limit thermostat or thermo fuse. Would also clean the dryer duct work.

Let us know what you find or if you have any other questions.

AJ,

Thanks for the manual!
I have a few question's regarding your response:
Q1) Would the parts mentioned above cause the display not to power on?
Q2) Also, are you referring to the Thermal Cut-Off Fuse on Element Housing or Thermal Fuse on Blower Wheel Housing?

rockinrobin:
There's was a burnt Black Wire (L1/L2) that runs from the Terminal Block to the Motor/Heater Relay on the Main Control Board. I noticed someone (maybe assembly factory) tied the Black Wire with a #3 12AWG Wire Nut (instead of a #2 12AWG used for tying 2 wires) and it caused an Arc which resolved in a burnt wire. This repaired the no power and intermittent heat issue.

AJ:
Cool, thanks for the update.
