Kitchenaid Range no Oven Lights

Model Number: KGSA906PBL00 , the oven lights on this range stopped working after the customer did a self clean on the oven. The lights are controlled by the door switch which is a part of the door latch assembly used to keep the door locked during a clean operation. Sometimes, the heat generated during the self clean (or many clean cycles) will cause the metal parts of the latch to flex or bend resulting in the light switch sticking in the off or door closed position. This makes the unit think the door is always closed, thus the lights never turn on.  If you are lucky, you can bend the switch strike so it moves properly again, but if that doesn't work, replacing the latch assembly will solve the problem.
