GE WBSR3140G3WW Cant get it to work
« on: April 11, 2013, 01:00:16 PM »
I replaced the lid switch and motor on this GE Top load and the machine. All it does is fill up with water then sits there a few minutes before draining. It will not start any cycles. The motor shows that it sits on standby mode and I can not get any information on this machine. Any help is appreciated.

The fuse may be the problem. It's located in the taped wiring on front right side of washer.

We checked the fuses, the pressure switch, and it is the right motor for the unit and it still refuses to do a thing. Leave it to GE to over complicate things.

Yes I did. We took out the timer and found a burnt wire coming from the timer. We changed out the wire and hooked up the old timer. After that the machine kicked right up.
