ive got a frigidaire side by side
model # FRS26KF6EM4
stopped making ice, checked continuity on fill valve, working properly. manually advanced ice maker, made some ice took awhile, i saw it dump water into the ice maker so i know its not frozen and getting water.
cleaned fan area in the back behind the cardboard panel, wasnt that bad, everything is working.
took the panel off to reveal the condenser area, fan is working, condenser was iced over, so i de-thawed. set temps back to factory setting, been 36hrs now and still not making ice, fridge/freezer is "cold" but not like it supposed to be. ice cream is not frozen completely, stuff on bottom is frozen, meat and veggies same with the fridge side. stuff on bottom is colder than stuff on top. fridge isn't over filled and its not empty.
fridge is running, i can here it kick on but it keeps running.
not sure what else to try here, just want ice back and my fridge back to normal
help.... feel free to reply here, email me w/e

Take evaporator panel off again and make sure fan is working and main thing is that there is a frost pattern all the way up evaporator. This would be a sure way that you don't have a seal system problem.Make sure also there is no ice or heavy frost there again. You should only have a slight pattern of frost on evaporator all the way up.

evap fan was working the other day when i took the panel off. there was frost on the top of the evap, about 1 1/2" down, not fully frosted over.
i was waiting a day or so to check it again.

Was this heavy frost or or just a film of frost. You want a film of frost all the way down.

Also if you don't the refrigerator will run a lot and because thermostat will not be satisfied.

heavy frost at the top, nothing all the way down. so this could be the thermo on the freezer side?
