Nearly p** in my pants when this thing popped out.
« on: April 05, 2013, 07:57:30 PM »

I was startled by this rodent popping out when I removed the bottom kick panel of this dishwasher.  Customer was in worse shape as she was screaming thinking it was still alive.

And yes, the kitchen has shag carpeting.  Very funky!!!

What was the complaint, bad odor from dishwasher? The last time I had a call like that wires were chewed, all hoses were chewed, told cust. To buy new dishwasher.

I had a Maytag washer, pulled the console with the customer looking over my shoulder.  I said it looks like you had a rodent in here.   I poked the nest with my screwdriver and out popped a mouse. I think I squealed louder than she did!  Repaired a bunch of chewed up wires while she called the exterminator.

Had a Maytag washer wouldn't spin fast enough, pulled front off and saw motor not springing back. Reached behind the motor and felt something FUZZY. It was a Redwood tarantula.(In the Redwood trees area and same color hair as redwood bark) The customer jumped back screamed and then said catch it! I caught it and her grandson has it still for a pet!

Bugs, mice, No big deal. Mention snakes and I'm gone.

I had a call to repair a leaking dishwasher. When they have been there for several years they get pretty messy underneath. Doesn't usually bother me. I took the lower panel off this one and right in the front was a dead wet mouse full of maggots. I just closed my bag, told the guy why I was leaving and to call me when it was cleaned up. He never called back. Wasn't to disappointed.

The worst thing I ever found was 2 birds in the outlet of a dryer. Needless to say they were dry. Free taxidermy. :)
