samsung RS2530BBP/XAA Defrost problem
« on: March 21, 2013, 08:47:08 PM »
Went on a call today and the freezer on above mentioned samsung was frozen up.  The heater appeared to be good.(44 ohms). It has a bimetal, but since it showed 0 resistance (closed) even after i thawed it out i think its good and must be one of those hi temp safety bimetals. The thermister attached to the top of the evaporater showed a reading, but not sure what temparature it was or what it should read.  I am guessing that the thermister on the evaporater is not reading right. How do i know for sure?
