Hi, I have a Jenn-Air Gas Slide-in Range (JGS8850ADW) that is approx 7 years old. Last year once or twice the error F3-1 code came up, but was corrected by turning off the breaker for 3 or 4 minutes. About 3 weeks ago this began happening again. I have replaced the Sensor. I have checked the ohms at the point that plugs into the panel and get about 1150. I have noticed a few unique things when trying to trouble shoot this:
At lower temps (under 350') it works fine.
At temps that does throw the error F3-1, the front panel & keypad become very warm.
Several minutes before the error code happens, the cooling fan below the burner top turns on. We have not had this fan turn on prior to this issue.
The higher the oven temp the quicker the error code appears (at 350 it may work fine for 30 to 90 minutes).
Most of the time when the error code appears, the oven light will not work.
It appears to me that the area between the stove top and the oven unit is becoming too hot.
thanks in advance. Jeff
