My kitchenaid ice maker not making ice, checked everything and found only 54vac going to the ice maker from the wall of freezer. does anybody know where the 110v is comming from?? Does it come from the ir board. Don't have a schematic to trace out.

I would not think the defrost board has anythang to do with the ice maker. All it need is 120 and 28f or less in the freezer and a good water valve if ain't nothing wrong with it. Must be a probo wif the harness.

The icemaker gets power from the receiver board on the right side wall.  You can bypass the board with an insulated paper clip.  Jump between the black wire and the black wire with white stripe.

What does the receiver board do?

It's an infrared sensor.  When the bucket fills up or you open the door, the sensor is blocked and it switches off power to the icemaker.
