Kitchenaid Refrigerator Not Making Ice

Model Number: KSRD22FKWH03 , the ice maker in this unit stopped working for the customer and after changing the module themselves (got some bad advice off the web) thought maybe they should have it looked at. The modular ice makers on the Whirlpool products have several test points in order to aid in troubleshooting their operation (or lack there of). I did a quick check of the IM components and found the water valve was reading as an open circuit. Replaced the water valve with a new assembly, so now the unit makes ice again.
