What should we set our frig and freeze at?    We have the frig at #2 which gives us about 39 degrees, freezer set at #3 which gives about zero.   Certainly we could dial up a notch, lowering those temps.  But what is considered the "normal" or "ideal" temps for frig and freezer???   If it matters, we have a bottom freezer maytag.

I like my fridge cold, about 34°F.  The problem with keeping it this cold is getting cold spots and freezing things that shouldn't be frozen.

Thank you all very  much for your thoughtful replies.     I am thinking I will stay right where I am.    When the hot summer weather hits, I will monitor to see if I need to click the temp settingss up one number.
